MTV: Nas Wants To Drop Albums Produced By Dr. Dre, DJ Premier On Same Day
Jay-Z album produced entirely by Timbaland?
Certainly a dream scenario for some fans and the artists themselves. Another legendary MC has been thinking about pairing himself with one of the producers he’s had combustible chemistry with throughout his career. On July 15, while performing in concert, Nas made a very public appeal to DJ Premier (who was not present) and said the people are waiting for them to make an entire album together.
Premo and Nas first collaborated on Illmatic, and ever since then, the legendary DJ/producer has given his lyrical friend classic tracks. But the two haven’t worked together in quite some time — to the dismay of many. Nas is hoping to rectify that, and the Queensbridge great has another production king he’d like to collaborate with as well.
“I want to do an all-Dr. Dre album,” he told MTV News. “A whole thing with Dre and a whole thing with Premier, and drop ‘em on the same day. That’s the real thing. All right, I said it. That’s what I really wanna do.
“I’m doing my dream,” he continued. “If you could, wouldn’t you do it? What else would you do? Every time I do something, it’s, ‘Oh, he’s doing it because this and that.’ Since my first album, everybody has an explanation of why. What am I supposed to be doing here? So I wanna drop the Dre album and the Premier album on the same day. That’s what I’m thinking.”
Now before you go bombarding Nas and his two track-mastering friends with talk of these albums, Nas did say he was dreaming out loud and hasn’t had any significant talk with Dre or Premo. But another producer recently caught Nas off-guard and ended up with a beat on Untitled.
“I ain’t know,” he said of the Game’s production skills. The Los Angeles mic arsonist rhymes on “Make the World Go Round” and also produced the track. Cool & Dre also have production credits on the song.
“He just hit me with the track,” Nas added. “I was like, ‘Oh, that’s what’s up.’ The record was Game’s record, so he’s like, ‘Me, you, I’m going to see Chris Brown. Nas, we gon’ make this movie, boom, boom, boom.’ It was his record. I guess [it was going to be on] Game’s album. It was gonna come out now, but he pushed his sh– back, so he let me have his sh–. He’s a smart n—a like that. I was like, ‘What you doing with this record?’ He gave it to me. He’s got so many bangers [on his album], I guess.”
One of the big bangers off of Untitled is the metaphorically supreme “Fried Chicken” with Busta Rhymes. Nas and Busta compare loving women to eating poultry and pork: “Fried chicken, fly vixen/ Give me heart disease/ But need you in my kitchen.”
“When I was doing the album, I knew there was certain concepts I had to do,” Nas explained. “There were obvious concepts, so many things to touch on, on an album that’s supposed to be the N—– album. ‘Fried Chicken’ was just a no-brainer. So I did the first verse and had it. I knew everybody was busy. I couldn’t think of anyone to get on it. I had hit up Common and I hit a few people. Everybody was trying to get back, and I had to turn it in, like, yesterday. Then it just dropped on me — boom! Who’s got the science? Who knows all the science on all this sh–? The Godfather, Busta Rhymes. It was just perfect. I hit him [and] said, ‘Please turn it around.’ He was overseas. He knocked that sh– out overseas, sent it to me. Done.”
Nas is getting ready to head out on the road to headline the Rock the Bells Tour. A Tribe Called Quest and Talib Kweli are among the artists appearing on various dates on the tour.

thatll be nice. Same..I think the best way to do it is to drop a double album. I liked streets disciple a lot but the only thing that weighed it down would have to be the production. But with dre and premier nothings gonna hold that back.

That would be HOT!! But I think it would be better to do a double album or one album with both producers doing half.. Or Dre and Premo co-producing the whole thing.. Personally I’d be slightly more interested in the Dr. Dre one but Preems would be good too… But the best case scenario would be the 2 different albums but it would be hard to do..

Nas is in a funny situation right now. He already solidified his legendary status years ago, but i think he is in a situation that has really never before occured in hiphop. He is considered a hiphop pioneer, a living legend, and always mentioned in at least top 3 to EVER do it. Many people want him to make these classic albums to build upon his legacy, which people like rakim, big daddy kane, etc.. never really got a chance to do because 1)hiphop wasn’t at that level in their era, 2)record companies weren’t as open (imo..or perhaps the artists). Thus Nas is bombarded by fans and the media, to make a new legendary album, which in most cases isn’t fair, since the majority of artists that are at his level, would be held to a lesser standard. Anyways, i hope this happens, but i doubt it will. If it does, great!

in my opinion, it would be the perfect timing for nas to release an album that has the same tone as God’s Son, something heart felt and a bit more about him, his life and rhymes. After releasing 2 controversial albums, this would be a great change of pace.

Nas is an excellent promoter, but that’s really all this is. Now, after the announcement Nas and Primo, (the dre album would never happen) would be like another Oscar De la Hoya/ Floyd M fight. Too hyped, too obvious and the commercial promotion would sap the purity out of the project.
If he really wanted to do this, then he would have already contact Primo, put the album together, then shook up the world and dropped it. I think as great as he is, he probably has not called Primo in some time and is out of touch. Instead of Primo’s cell being in his top 5 speed dial, Nas probably has it written down on a napkin in a kitchen drawer somewhere.
A nas primo album? sure, that will drop at the same time we see a Star Wars sequel with Luke or Evel Knievel Jump another bus, or Slash, Axl and the rest of GNR re-unite- Never.

IF those two records ever came out, they would change hip hop and take it back to its true form. That’s a 5mic album right there. But he should release them with a couple months in between. Double albums always get slept on. Plus it will keep him reliant for a much longer period during the year.

I am not after any questions about unlocking an Iphone, which I am sure it was addressed many times before. I am interested to know if, with the same Iphone, someone could travel in different european countries using the official provider for that specific country. Otherwise the only option would be roaming which I am sure it is very costly and not very convenient on a long term basis.

I activated and was using the iPhone in the US for about 1 year. I am now moving to Singapore in about 1 week and wondering if there’s anyway I can still use the iPhone in Singapore. i dont have at&t and wont have it for a month or 2..so im wondering if i could just buy the iphone now and activate it. i know i obviously cant use it to call and stuff but i dont want a contract i want a prepaid plan so i just want to use th iphone for that.is this possible or do i need a contract to buy an iphone?

I heard that a new robot has just been released . There are quite many robots on the market. What is a Forex robot anyway? Which one is working? I have heard many good things about Forex auto pilot turbo. I would like to know which one is the most reliable. Thank you.

They have those auto pilot programs that have you invest 50 dollars starting. Not a huge investment, and wont spit out a lot of money in the long run, but If you invested 50 dollars in a forex program, is it possible to end up owing more than you invested? Or is it just that you can lose 50 dollars and end up back at 0, and not in the negative? Just curious.
