This man is the truth! “My pimp strut was invented when they whipped us, now we diddy bop just to show you that our shrimps up, just when niggas bout to see they cut globe warming about to burn us up”

Then another one of my favorite verses is……”I use to worship a certain queens police murderer until I read the words of IVAN VAN SERTIMA….. Do you people know who this is? He is an historian, anthropologist, writer and I read his book “They came before Columbus” The African Presence in ancient America… very informative book.

As far as the interview goes Nas spoke truth and I truly appreciate his growth and development….Unlike other artist who give you the same over and over…..

Nas has the message, he has the truth, he now needs to push himself as an activitst, in his own way. Nas has it in him, but it seems like he struggles on that line of still being a street dude and an activitist.

Nas needs to step out and be more proactive on issues this will help his society as well as help his music career. He said he’s ready to become one of those leaders!!

THINK ABOUT IT NAS!!

Saw the interview on the Tavis website and i think you are well connected to the issue and what you’re doing i dont hear any other rapper doing. Thats some future shit, meaning you’re on another level and way ahead of your time. You’re the most relevant out there. Cant wait for your next album already, got me praying “please God, let him spit the Uzi in the army linen” whatever it means, as long as you get my sense

Well I got a chance to review it.. I felt it was way too short and a lot of the questions I wanted to see ask didn’t get through but what can you do when Blacks don’t control our own media (B.E.T. is not black owned, just black operated VERY BIG difference). I’m glad Nas got a chance to show the world what being an “Intelligent Hood” is all about. Keep up the positive work Nas. I really like this album.. reminds me of Nastradamus Album when it comes to the “prophet-ering” lyrical display.. So my only question Nas is what’s next??? I mean you have nothing else to prove in Hip-Hop.. by no means am I suggesting you hang up the mic..(hip-hop would really be dead) how about a “Lost Art” LP where you’re album is filled with songs with you and old-school artists on some new millennium time capsule tip.. the younger generation does not have a clue when it comes down to who paved the way for you, B.I.G. , and Tupac. I mean you talked about putting a DRE and PRIMO Album out, I just though it would be a good idea to do that sort of thing so we don’t forget where we (Blacks & Hip-Hop) came from. The Egyptians did it with the GLYPHS, Temples, and Pyramids…this is the closest thing we have in preserving our culture and art.
